Yep. Im glad they got this experience tho. Because now they know the work and effort thats required to get back. You aren’t promised a title. And the physicality thats played when you get there is different than the regular season. All in all, more work is to be done, but this was encouraging.
I’m very proud of how the Spurs played this season. Massive over achievement.
I’m very disappointed in how they played in the finals. Incredibly underwhelming. The looked immature on and off the court, in the media, and in their coaching.
No telling when they’ll be back.

All I ever wanted was to get back to what THIS felt like. Cheering for a team that had something to play for in May and June. Them not winning it all sucks but its part of it. We watched the Spurs be in the mix and not win it all 7 years straight. Took them 6 YEARS just to get back to the finals after they swept Bron and the Cavs. You're never promised to go back. Gotta enjoy all the moments that come with it.

I mostly made peace with the series being over after Game 4, so I think I can say a few things with a pretty clear head:
1) This is a brutally disappointing finish, but it’s also an incredible surprise to even be in the position to disappoint at this stage level of competition

This is the valuable experience that was needed. Im glad Wemby and crew got this. No guarantees they'll be back next season or at all as a core.. but you now know the work and effort thats required.

Alot of how good the Spurs can be hinges on how good Carter Bryant can be. Alot of pressure for a 20 year old, but when you get deep in these playoff series, you start to see how valuable 2 way wing talent is.

They dont need to fire him. Not after a 62 win season and a trip to the finals. They weren't even supposed to win 45 games this season.

The reason they have to fire Mitch is because there are no guarantees you’ll get back here.
Injuries happen. Free agency happens. Windows close way faster than people think.
This team is ready to win now. They need a coach who’s ready to do it now, not one they have to wait on to become prepared.
You can’t lose a series in 5 games you were favored to win while blowing double-digit leads, mismanaging timeouts & having terrible rotations in every game while being the more talented team. Someone has to pay for that.
They easily would have won this series with a good coach.

Huge game 5 was for your stars to show up. NONE of them did. Fox, Wemby, and Castle were horrible offensively. Had to depend on your 20 year old rookie guard to save you. Thats not a good recipe for success at all.
