The sign says "Colorful" but it feels more like "Costly." From the gas prices of $4.50 per gallon to the higher rates at state parks and RV campgrounds, Colorado is pretty but it does like to attack your travel budget!

We finally got around to adding a grille guard to our van. We had one on our previous van and really liked having it.

The baby swallows we have been following at Enchanted Rock are growing fast! They look like little versions of their adult selves now.

We climbed Turkey Peak at Enchanted Rock State Natural Area for a whole new perspective on the rock and surrounding area. And we just kept hiking after we came down! We ended with about 6.5 miles, after checking out quartz deposits, lots of flowers, and a little trail friend.
