I (mom) am frustrated with prescription cat food. I went to order it on Chewy because they had the best deal, but they needed a prescription and said they'd contact the vet for it. Well, later on Chewy said that the vet needed me to come in to pick up the paper prescription.

buy the food from them, kind of like how some glasses places don't give you your prescription unless you ask because they want you to buy their glasses.

Went back in to the V. E. T. just to make sure everything is ok re: the frequent litter box trips. Got another pain med and a test for a UTI. Hopefully it's just irritation from having a catheter, but if it's a UTI we'll get antibiotics. Crazy couple of days around here.

Copper update: doing fine. Urine has returned to normal and he's eating normally.
Has anyone invested in a litter box monitor? Are they useful for this situation?
Guy who is nonchalantly costing mom $4,000 😭 (he's ok right now, on pain meds). They'll remove the urinary blockage overnight and monitor him for the rest of the day tomorrow.
