Caedrel is getting unfair shit from people who just want to join in on the riots — akin to when you see people act unruly and uncivilized during riots in any town, because they think it's ok to join in. I've been tagged in a few posts, mostly his previous comments on LGBT being a reason for not doing EWC — I don't give a fuck. I know he isn't anti-LGBT, and I know his participation in the event doesn't change that. "But he said this and now he's doing this" so? Peoples opinions and stances can change, especially if they are introduced to new information and begin to view things different. He does good by a lot of people in the scene and you know who he is regardless of if he accepts or not, that doesn't change. His reason for accepting is VERY clear, and if you understand that what does it matter? People will try to argue or flame me to the death for this stance but it's true, at least he's being consistent (that might sound weird to read but it isn't). Plenty of people who went to the event actually reached out to me as we are friends and asked me personally what I thought if they did it — I said I don't care. And for those curious I tweeted a lot of my thoughts last year. The showboating and fake virtue signaling so many people are doing is infinitely more disgusting than Caedrel accepting to do EWC after previously having an anti-EWC stance. There are a million things ppl join in on, turn a blind eye to, or anything all the time, so why now? I've had so many talks about this with colleagues in the scene because they're confused on how I just tell ppl to do it. He got his bag, good — he isn't mindcontrolled and he isn't brainwashed. You all know it. So let him be him, the same one you all supported and the same one who has done good by LoL and at this point does more for LoL than LoL does for him. This isn't some fairytale land, this is life. I agree with Steve and others who actively participate among other things. Stop fucking flaming him and joining in on bullshit brigades. Most people doing it are fake already and they're just using it as an excuse to be malicious. Caedrel after the event is the same Caedrel before the event. Everyone knows this. So stop pretending that it's different. Stop being fucking toxic. So it goes.

people go for the younger players because they think of them as "prodigies" when, in reality, you better be high elo after playing this game for like 10 hours a day with 0 responsibilities as a literal teen it is more impressive to get high elo when you have a job/real shit to do instead of just high school homework and no real stress also, these <18 "prodigies" tend to be giga emotionally stunted off league being their only social experience and become SO fucking toxic massive ego off of it that's why i always support the ones that break the mold and aren't like that. a couple of them have come up and it's nice to see someone outside of the same formula. fuck high elo players most of them exist in cliques and none of them are real friends because they would call each other out for their behavior in-game and out if they were.
