"Will's program is a fighting program. One, the 50% wage increase: workers will be able to afford life. Full health insurance, triple-rate voluntary overtime... this is what we need in order to live and provide for our families."

"I'm 85 years old and I remember when the union did well for the people. Now the union represents management. Will's got the right idea to form work groups in every factory, so the workers can represent themselves and strike." Lyle, retired GM worker

I’ve been seeing an inordinate amount of “Russia is about to collapse” posts recently which usually correlates with Ukraine losing another city so brb while I get to the bottom of this

My suspicions have been confirmed x.com/AMK_Mapping_/status/20…

The main Ukrainian stronghold in eastern Kostyantynivka has now come under operational encirclement by Russian forces. After Ukrainian forces mostly withdrew from the western suburbs, Russian forces managed to break through Ukrainian defences in the so-called "Historical Centre" of northern Kostyantynivka, reaching the highway running through the city from the northeast, thereby blocking the last escape route for Ukrainian forces stationed further east. This corridor remains a grey-zone, where Russian and Ukrainian soldiers hold overlapping positions, however it will be difficult to withdraw Ukrainian forces from the eastern part of the city now. Elsewhere, Russian forces continue their assault operations, with soldiers infiltrating into the Novoselivka District in the northwestern part of the city. Russian DRGs are already operating on the highway into Kostyantynivka, however Ukraine continues to funnel additional reinforcements in, likely to secure withdrawal routes. Supply is now being carried out mostly with UAVs and ground drones. Meanwhile, heavy fighting continues near the railway station, the city cemetery, the northern private sector, Lomonosova Street (northwestern suburbs), and the former chemical plant. The situation remains critical for Ukraine as the remaining defences in the city collapse.

It’s kinda funny how anti-communists are unable to use Pol Pot’s genocide as a gotcha like they do with the USSR’s and PRC’s famines because not only was the Khmer Rouge taken out by Vietnamese Stalinists but also because once out of power they immediately went on the CIA payroll

More proof that the immigration court system is an anti-democratic farce. Immigration Judge Amy Lee orders dead non-citizen deported, finding "insufficient proof of death." You can't make this up!

At their height, Mungo Jerry played memorable benefit gigs for the British Young Socialists, the youth movement of the then Trotskyist Workers Revolutionary Party. #WSWS

The radicalism of the youth of the 1960 was not "drug inspired." It was a response to Vietnam, the struggle for civil rights, and, even more fundamentally, the fresh and not-forgotten horrors of the two World Wars. The 1917 October Revolution had not disappeared from memory, capitalism and anti-communism were in bad odor, Stalinism was increasingly discredited, and there was a revival of interest in Trotsky, whose extraordinary books were recognized as political and literary masterworks. This resurgence was suppressed by the reactionary political climate of the Reagan-Thatcher years to which Mr. Luce was exposed, to his own misfortune, during his intellectually formative years. But Mr. Luce correctly detects a process of radicalization among the world's youth. The question is, at what point will this radicalization break beyond the bounds of the media-vetted pseudo-leftism of people like Sanders and Mamdani and reestablish contact with the the genuine Marxian-socialist political perspective and culture that was exemplified in the October Revolution and figures like Lenin, Trotsky and Luxemburg. This break must and will occur, and the rediscovery of Trotsky's extraordinary political legacy and writing will be a critical element of the reemergence of Marxism as a mass socialist movement based on the working class.

Piker reminds one of Trotsky's description of Kerensky: "He had no theoretical preparation, no political schooling, no ability to think, no political will." He has "that kind of eloquence which operates neither upon mind or will, but upon the nerves." wsws.org/en/articles/2026/05…

Loved seeing that first worker telling off the guy trying to tell them not to talk to the WSWS reporter. Despite crap about them just being aloof armchair revolutionaries don’t see interviews like this with workers from anyone else
"I voted to strike because if I didn't have a roommate or my husband, then I wouldn't be able to survive. Gas is almost five dollars a gallon, rent up over a thousand, car insurance, groceries, everything in general."

I even remember back in 2022 had a bunch of DSA Shawn Fain supporters claiming such interviews with workers were staged with actors which really goes to show the lengths that the pseudos will go to slander anyone who actually fights for what they claim to believe in
