Abbott’s endorsement of closed Republican primaries comes just days after Secretary of State Jane Nelson announced she is stepping down. Nelson’s office has been fighting a lawsuit from the Texas GOP over closed primaries.

BREAKING: @GregAbbott_TX comes out in support of closing primary elections in Texas at @TexasGOP convention. “We are going to make clear: in the future, only Republicans will vote in Republican primaries.”

It looks like Abbott has embraced the "Hot Wheels" moniker. Kinda funny.

Jerome Winston Parker, who went viral for his confrontation outside the Karmelo Anthony trial, has been ARRESTED for unlawfully carrying a weapon. Police say the charge stems from the incident in the courthouse parking lot on June 6th.
