We were delighted to partner with @TheAzaleaGroup_ to deliver an unforgettable experience for 14 journalists from across Europe at Trump Turnberry last week. 🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♂️ The programme featured rounds on the world-renowned Ailsa Course and the King Robert the Bruce Course, as well as an exclusive preview of Trump's Twelve - coming soon. Beyond the golf, guests enjoyed a curated whisky-tasting experience and had the opportunity to explore several of our recent resort enhancements, including the Golf Academy, Games Room and Cinema Room. The visit also showcased the very best of Trump Turnberry's hospitality, from dining featuring locally sourced Scottish produce to our luxurious accommodation and beautiful coastal surroundings. Blessed with spectacular weather, guests were treated to West Coast sunsets, enjoying evenings with a glass of wine overlooking the iconic panorama of the championship golf courses, the Atlantic Ocean and the Ailsa Craig. As we mark the anniversary of D-Day, we pause to remember the courage, sacrifice, and determination of all those who served during the Second World War, and especially those who never returned home. Today, visitors know Turnberry for its dramatic coastline and world-renowned golf, but during both World Wars this peaceful landscape played a very different role. The fairways and dunes were transformed into military airfields, training grounds, and operational bases. The Turnberry Hotel became a hospital, while RAF crews trained here for some of the most dangerous missions of the war, preparing for low-level bombing and torpedo operations over hostile waters. It is believed that as many as 200 lives were lost during military operations connected to Turnberry during the war years. Their service and sacrifice are woven into the history of this place. Following the war, the links were painstakingly restored, but the memory of those who served remains. Today, the war memorial overlooking the 12th hole of the Ailsa Course stands as a lasting tribute to the airmen, service personnel, and all those connected to Turnberry who gave their lives in the cause of freedom. From 30th April to 1st May, Nic, our GM, Debbie, our BDM, and Colin, our Assistant DOG, were delighted to host our Golf Partners at Trump Turnberry ahead of the upcoming season. ⛳ The event was our way of saying thank you for the continued trust and support our partners show in allowing us to look after their guests each year, ensuring they enjoy an exceptional experience every time they visit. It also provided a valuable opportunity to showcase our recent enhancements, including the Golf Academy Trackman Integration, the Whisky Tasting Room, Cinema Room and Games Room, equipping our partners with fresh insights and experiences to share with their clients ahead of their stay. The visit included an overnight stay in our newly refurbished villa accommodation, along with rounds on both the legendary King Robert the Bruce course and the world-renowned Ailsa course. In true Turnberry style, the experience was complemented by outstanding dining and evening refreshments. This week, Nic, Debbie and Colin are continuing to strengthen relationships with partners old and new at the IAGTO European Convention in Malaga, one of the golf tourism industry’s leading international events.
