And he died for it.
"...I am bold to declare before Heaven that I am just as ready to die in defending the rights of a Presbyterian, a Baptist, or a good man of any denomination... It is a love of liberty which inspires my soul — civil and religious liberty to the whole of the human race." Joseph Smith Delivered on July 9, 1843, in Nauvoo, Illinois

I love President Oaks. "Here is a caution for families. Suppose Church leaders reduce the time required by Church meetings and activities in order to increase the time available for families to be together. This will not achieve its intended purpose unless individual family members—especially parents—vigorously act to increase family togetherness and one-on-one time. Team sports and technology toys like video games and the Internet are already winning away the time of our children and youth. Surfing the Internet is not better than serving the Lord or strengthening the family. Some young men and women are skipping Church youth activities or cutting family time in order to participate in soccer leagues or to pursue various entertainments. Some young people are amusing themselves to death—spiritual death. Some uses of individual and family time are better, and others are best. We have to forego some good things in order to choose others that are better or best because they develop faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and strengthen our families." Good, Better, Best Dallin H. Wish I could go.
The open house for the San Diego California Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints began on Monday, June 15, 2026, with a media day for journalists and invited guests. Doors will open to the public from June 18 through July 11, 2026 (excluding Sundays). The temple, which closed in 2023 for extensive renovation, will be dedicated on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at 11 a.m. (rebroadcast at 2 p.m.). “The temple is the most sacred place on earth to us as members of the Church,” said Elder Neil L. Andersen @AndersenNeilL of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. “It is a place of holiness, of peace, of revelation, of receiving our answers to our prayers. It’s very, very important to us. It is a testament to us of the immortality of the soul.” Visit Church Newsroom to learn more. newsroom.churchofjesuschrist…

ICYMI: Utah Senator Brady Brammer has been installing a police state with the aid of most of the legislature. It is pretty near impossible to be more contrary to the Bill of Rights than what he has been doing. These are serious offenses against basic human rights that are affirmed in our Declaration of Independence. The fact that he happens to agree with corrupt judges who shield abortion doesn't make him right. If anything it deletes any plausibility his smokescreen of "resisting judicial overreach" might have seemed to have. A judge's opinion is not the definition of constitutionality, but Brammer's bills have been justified using that exact kind of deception. That's the sleight of hand used by very dishonest people who want to continue to greenlight damaging government projects and even mass imprisonment over our gullibility. This could very easily be our last chance to choose life and liberty for eternity. The Constitution is almost completely dead on his watch. #utpol sethandrewstewart.com/politi…

I have to watch myself. "You're lying" is technically an accurate response to a very high percentage of posts and comments. But if I say it too much, people will think I am just a debbie downer. Sometimes there really isn't anything to say besides "repent" though.

I would love to go to this
Today we will meet with media from throughout California and guide them through the recently renovated San Diego California Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  Soon, thousands will walk through the doors of the temple during an open house as we prepare for the August 23 rededication. It is an amazing blessing to see the Lord’s temples dotting the earth. I love the house of the Lord.

How is this different from Barry's $9B pallet of cash and concessions?
JUST NOW: President confirmed that the incoming memorandum of understanding will permanently cement his primary wartime objective, declaring with total certainty that "Iran will never have a Nuclear weapon." President trump used combination of financial chokeholds and heavy military positioning to make sure Tehran has no choice but to comply. 👏🇺🇸

Really there isn't a difference I can point to between Elon Musk as a socialist and any other socialist/commie in government, whether it be Bernie Sanders, Al Gore or Bill Gates.

I do feel joy here, but I need to let it show more.
Nowhere should our joy as a people be more apparent than when we gather together each Sabbath in our sacrament meetings to worship the source of all joy!

Russia's national news networks use the narrative that their enemies are Nazis to justify war. War entails invasions, bombardments, torture, abductions of children and cruel murders of civilians. By invoking Nazi imagery and glorifying antisemitism, you are fueling propaganda in communist states to enrage their people into coming to open war against us. This means you are either a useful idiot or a willful part of this plan. Perestroika and Glasnost were brazen lies. Nazism and Communism are exactly the same thing. Statism will be your death, you fakes. He that lives by the sword shall die by the sword.

My mission president got to be a fly on the wall during this process. It is a revelatory process.
Here’s a look inside the missionary assignment room. This is where my fellow apostles and I come frequently to assign the thousands of missionaries that are applying to serve missions all over the world. This process is inspired, revelatory, and I love it with all my heart.

The biggest problem with the Stratos project isn't the fact that the government is trying to build massive datacenters--it is the inability of the people to say "no" to any meaningful effect. My state Senator Brady Brammer has played a star role in installing the legal machinery behind such lockouts, only his bills expand immunity to literally every act of government. I have urged him repeatedly to cease and desist from installing such unconstitutional measures. The worst part is that much of the voting public has been duped into thinking this is all fine or even necessary, because of the delusion taught in public schools that the opinion of judges is the definition of constitutionality. If that were true, then abortion would be "constitutional". Do you realize that? In fact, this kind of machinery is the very reason elective abortion is still legal in the State of Utah. Brady Brammer's bills do not prevent judicial overreach--they enable it. If there is one thing that is keeping abortion legal in our state, it is the legislature's greenlighting of judicial overreach, and Brady's bills take the cake on this. These new changes to the law do nothing to help in the battle against abortion. Instead, they gift even more power to a select few judges. They bind and gag juries. They double down on judicial supremacy and almost completely erase the ability of the people to petition and obtain redress of their grievances. This is why I filed as a write-in candidate for Utah Senate District 21, so voters aren't left with a false choice between a Democrat and a wolf in sheep's clothing. #utpol Read more about how Brammer's bills and voting record expand the MIDA / Stratos and PID immunity by leaps and bounds into every aspect of life: sethandrewstewart.com/politi…

Monica Wilbur gives the scoop on Salt Lake County GOP Chair Mike Carey's antics. If you want to get up to speed on what is happening, here's the run-down, with a hopeful message about what good people can do from here. Thank you, Monica, for what you are doing! You are helping to restore self-government, which is exactly what we need. Every one of us can choose to help the cause by standing up for what is right. #utpol youtu.be/T0D2ZnKaRMY

Something I heard at last night's "town hall" was repeated reference to the use of our tax dollars through public-private partnerships (including the so-called "Utah Lake Authority") and the supposed need to have more government officials and board members to "secure a seat at the table" in administering these tax-supported programs (which as a matter of course end up as bragging rights for politicians to claim how smart they are because they administered a project, spent our money or had a hand in such-and-such project). (Both candidates tended to agree as a foregone conclusion that such classes of projects are appropriate and worthwhile). The truth is, There is NOTHING you have to do, lawfully, to "secure your seat at the table" in republican government. ANYTHING that ANYONE does to harm you or infringe on your rights or the rights of anyone else IS a justiciable cause. You have a seat at the table by virtue of being a human being. Your rights are inherent and unalienable. It is true that you must often speak up to defend and secure those rights, but your seat should not be going anywhere just because some politicians decided to take part in a power grab. What you choose to do with your seat is up to you--but it is yours by right. So, questions for the next time a politician invokes the "seat at the table" metaphor: Whose table? What is being served? Whose labor is being carved up and distributed? Is it constitutional? #utpol I filed as a write-in candidate in State Senate District 21 to give you a real alternative.
