Both the U.S. and U.K. are considering dropping the “terrorist” designation for the rebel group that toppled Syria's government. Why would they do that? Could it be because they — just like ISIS in the past and al-Nusra — are trained, armed, and funded by those countries (and Israel)? SPOILER ALERT: Yes they are! Ben Swann has the FULL STORY on "Truth in Media" today!

There are still some who do not believe in Pizzagate, despite the mountain of evidence proving it's real.

Israel attacked the USS Liberty even though it was clearly marked with a US flag. They didn’t stop after the first strike that killed 11 people, attacking the ship a second time. They even attacked lifeboats that were trying to flee. The USS Liberty called for help and US helicopters were en route, but Robert McNamara called those helicopters back.

Massie also said there was a 17-hour delay before help reached the survivors of the USS Liberty, and called the attack intentional murder by the state of Israel. These are extraordinary accusations that stand in direct conflict with the official findings. That is why @RepThomasMassie argues Congress should reopen an investigation. While some claim the attack was part of a larger plot to drag the US into war, no declassified US or Israeli documents have confirmed those claims. Massie's point is whether the American people received a complete accounting of the event that killed 34 US servicemen.

History matters, especially when America’s once again debating its role in another conflict in the Middle East. Whether you believe the official story or not, 34 Americans lost their lives on the USS Liberty, and after 59 years the public and the survivors deserve answers.

For those who don't know the history, the USS Liberty was an American intelligence ship operating in international waters during the Six Day War on June 8, 1967. Israeli fighter jets and torpedo boats attacked the vessel with machine gun fire, torpedoes, and even napalm. The attack left over 34 Americans dead and 171 more wounded. Israel has long maintained that the attack was simply a tragic case of mistaken identity. This week @RepThomasMassie noted these details during his rare floor speech in the House of Representatives.

34 American sailors were killed and 171 wounded when the USS Liberty was attacked in international waters on June 8, 1967. Yet most Americans don't know this story. This week @RepThomasMassie decided to change that during a rare floor speech in the House of Representatives on the 59th anniversary of the attack. He called for a new congressional investigation and mentioned the testimony from survivors who have spent decades asking what really happened that day.
34 American sailors killed, 171 wounded. An American Navy ship was attacked in international waters. Yet decades later, much of the country still knows little about the USS Liberty. The USS Liberty remains one of the most egregious attacks ever carried out against U.S. military personnel, with questions that have never been fully answered and accountability that never came. Rep. Thomas Massie recently brought renewed attention to the incident, honoring the survivors on the House floor and calling for further investigation into the attack. As Congress is about to vote on an even deeper and more permanent military alliance with Israel, the USS Liberty story should not be forgotten, especially as Israel continues to dispute and downplay the significance of the attack. I discuss this and more with @danielmkovalik.

Multiple US investigations accepted Israel's explanation of the attack on the USS Liberty. And to this day, that remains the official position of the US government. But this week @RepThomasMassie didn't just call for a new investigation. He directly challenged the official version of events, arguing that what happened to the USS Liberty was not a case of mistaken identity. Massie pointed to testimony from survivors who say the ship was clearly identifiable as an American vessel...

The timing of @RepThomasMassie's comments matters because he is raising questions about the USS Liberty at a moment when the relationship between DC and Tel Aviv appears more complicated than ever. Recent reports highlight ever-growing friction between Trump and Netanyahu — as well as the US and Israel altogether. While both leaders continue to describe their relationship as strong, it is clear they are not always reading from the same page...

The current friction does not mean the alliance between the US and Israel or Trump and Netanyahu ending. It does mean both countries are on shaky ground, and Americans are asking more questions about the relationship than they have in a very long time. In this environment @RepThomasMassie is asking Americans to remember a page of history that many would rather forget. History matters, especially when America is once again debating its role in another conflict in the Middle East. Whether you believe the official story or not, 34 Americans lost their lives on the USS Liberty, and after 59 years the public and the survivors deserve answers...

The repeated attacks on the USS Liberty raise serious questions about whether Israel acted intentionally, and whether the US government played any role in covering it up or even aiding the assault. Multiple waves of strikes including on lifeboats trying to escape and the use of napalm point to extreme brutality. Napalm essentially melts people and causes them to burn to death, making it a war crime even by standards of that era. Even the most charitable view that Israel thought it was attacking an Egyptian ship falls apart because they should have allowed a surrender instead of continuing the assault. It's pretty clear from the actions that they knew it was a US ship.

The theory is that Israel attacked the USS Liberty to cover up actions they were taking nearby in the Six Day War, including atrocities against the Egyptians. They also wanted to hide the fact that they were beginning to occupy Gaza and the West Bank. At the time, Gaza was a protectorate of Egypt and the West Bank was a protectorate of Jordan. Israel was also taking over the Golan Heights in Syria. This theory holds that the ship's presence risked exposing these developments.

In attacking the USS Liberty, Israel allegedly sought to eliminate all witnesses to their atrocities against the Egyptians and their occupation of Gaza, the West Bank, and the Golan Heights. Fast forward 59 years and the same issues are playing out again right now. But another long-held theory suggests the attack was meant to pull the US into a war. While that did not happen directly, over the last 59 years, US foreign policy has benefited Israel greatly at the expense of other Middle Eastern countries. The justifications have included the war on terror and actions against figures like Osama bin Laden, Saddam Hussein, Muammar Gaddafi, Bashar al Assad, and now Iran. Yet none of those individuals or nations ever attacked the United States. The USS Liberty story matters because it shows how history does not repeat, but it definitely rhymes — and the rhyme here is quite close...

Israel continues to drag the United States into one war after another. They played a big role in encouraging the US to attack Iraq after 9/11 even though Iraq was a mortal enemy of al Qaeda. Now Israel is pushing to draw America into a war with Iran that could destroy the world economy. The US continues to give in to this tiny country of about 10 million people by spending billions to keep its military afloat, while getting nothing in return and harming American interests. Accountability is the only way out of this cycle, which is why @RepThomasMassie is calling for a new investigation into the USS Liberty.

MINUTES AGO – Trump says US will hit Iran hard again today, and will take control of Kharg Island and Iranian energy facilities: “The United States will be hitting Iran (Whose Navy, Air Force, Radar, Anti Aircraft, and all other forms of Defense, together with most of its offensive capability, are GONE!), VERY HARD TONIGHT. At some point in the not too distant future, we will be taking Kharg Island, and other oil infrastructure points, and assume total control of their Oil and Gas Markets, much like we have with Venezuela, which is working out brilliantly for both Venezuela and the United States of America. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP”

Remember, everyone: It’s disingenuous to ask questions about war crimes. The only honest position is to have unwavering trust in the political class and their many schemes.
Reporter: “If the response is in hitting bridges, electrical infrastructure, how would that not be a war crime?” Hegseth: “That's precisely the kind of disingenuous question that I'm used to from the media, impugning the motives of the folks on our side who are incredibly professional and incredibly effective… We will hit them hard on our terms, on the targets that improve the environment for us to operate in and undermine the capabilities that Iran wants to have.”
