The Accolade Global Film Competition in La Jolla, California, gave us the Award of Merit Special Mention: Documentary Feature and Christian Theme. We're incredibly honored. @AccoladeComp *All Saints Documentary* has now received 13 official selections. Among these, we've been fortunate enough to win three Best Feature Documentary awards and one Best of Show! We extend our sincere gratitude to all the film festivals, judges, and volunteers who have made this festival run so fantastic. But the journey doesn't end here. We're diligently working to finalize the next phase, so stay tuned for more updates!

In October 2024, @aigalasvegas hosted a virtual event with a true artist, Mark Andrew Allen @VeniceArtist . I assisted with the tech side while Dan McElhattan, President of AIGALV lead the interview. Mark was such a gentleman and was completely open to sharing his experience and wisdom.  Everyone on the call was blessed.  You can still see the event here: vimeo.com/1020055745 I ended up buying a couple of his fun "This Is Art" stickers and placed them on my production van sticker wall (photos in the video). After the New Year, I received a package with a "This Is Art" sticker on it.  Came to find out that Mark had sent me one of his artworks named "Called Home".  I was blown away with Mark's heart and generosity to share his artwork with me.  Thank you Mark. The Green Mountain Christian Film Festival in Randolph, Vermont were hosting their film festival the same time I was in Buffalo, New York for the Great Lakes Christian Film Festival. Unfortunately, I couldn't make both events. However, All Saints was an Official Selection and eventually received an Honorable Mention in their Faith-Based Film category. Thank you #GMCFF!!!

The Great Lakes Christian Film Festival in Buffalo, NY, Oct 17-20, 2024. Shawn Greene, the founder of the @glcff , along with his family and volunteers, did an outstanding job putting on this 10th annual film festival. I enjoyed watching the films. Connecting with and learning from all the filmmakers. Highlights: - The Orthodox double-feature screening of All Saints and @SacredAlaska Film. Loved the visuals and story of Sacred Alaska, it’s a must watch! - Max Pitchkites joined us in Buffalo. Max drove from Bloomington to support the films. Thanks Max, great seeing you! - Sacred Alaska’s director, Simon Scionka, and I discussed many topics. It was a true blessing. - Amal Hanania and I won 2nd place for best producer in a feature documentary. Amal, your medal is on it’s way! - All Saints won best writer for a feature documentary. - Sacred Alaska won the best director, best cinematography, and 3rd place, best editing for a feature documentary. - My wife, Karolyn, joined for the awards ceremony and we found our way to Niagara Falls, Highmark Stadium home of the NFL Buffalo Bills and then finished where buffalo wings originated, Anchor Bar. North Idaho Film Festival @NoIDFilmFest was another great experience for Truthful Studio. The relationships I built in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho is just the beginning. Truthful Studio would like to salute the festival producers, led by Matt Edwards and his staff including Brando, Cal, and Ann. They made it a fantastic experience for everyone. Bravo! Photos by Lilly Allman at DeliberateVideo.com All Saints was an official selection and the festival provided me with an opportunity to forge new relationships and enjoy several well-executed Christian short and feature films. Among these was Planted, directed by @ccweske and written by @hayleeWRITES. (Watch in Linktree) I also had the pleasure of meeting Max Jordan, CC’s director of cinematography. Max and his team submitted several short films to the festival. Max’s good friend @CadenButera have built a remarkable filmmaking community, which was evident to the festival attendees. Their work is aesthetically pleasing, humorous, and memorable. They earned awards for Best Cinematography, Best Director Short, and the Gem State Film Award (Audience Award). Wonderful job Caden and Max! The All Saints screening block was paired with Mirrors by Thomas Wesley which won Best Short Documentary in 2023 and was a beautiful compliment to All Saints. (Watch in Linktree) Thomas also had his latest short Christian film Ascension screened and won the 2024 Best Short Documentary. I connected with Thomas at a filmmaker workshop and we instantly hit it off. (Watch trailer in Linktree) I would like to thank Fr. Timothy from St. Luke Orthodox Christian Church in Spokane, as well as Rob and Fr. Mark from St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church in Post Falls, Idaho for their support of All Saints at the festival. And thank you to my dear friend of 30 years, Marc Lucca, his wife Tiffany, and their son Dominic for hosting me in Coeur d'Alene. It was such a pleasure to be with them.
