This is the way. Most "fighting" the "bad guys" are simply neglecting their own work.
The world is getting worse and i don't think it's going to stop. and the honest truth is, most people who tell you to fight back are also losing. the only person i've ever watched actually keep their mind through something terrible was a quiet woman who never talked about strength once. she just did normal things with frightening consistency. she waked up early, she made food, she cleaned her place, she talked to people like they mattered, even when she knew how bad it was. maybe especially because she knew how bad it was. and it shamed me, because i was out there talking about the darkness, thinking that made me useful. and she was just quietly not letting it into her kitchen

These are deeply disturbed and mentally unstable people; very likely narcissists, with massively overstated internal senses of grandiosity and self-importance. That sense of identity is certainly why they need to cloister together in groups, tribal media, in order to receive the affirmation needed to retain their worldview without challenge. Deeply intolerant, and emotionally unstable people. This is not emotionally mature or mentally stable behavior. What is being witnessed in this video is a psychological pathology and a codependent enabler of that pathology, under the mistaken premise of sensitivity. This is the opposite of intellectual. This is a child in an adult physiology. It is alarming to witness outside a clinical or institutional setting. @brianstelter @LuluGNavarro
Scott Pelley sobs when he argues he’s just like U.S. troops because both go to war to serve the country and might even be more important because “there is no democracy without journalism”… “Don’t care about the country? [CRYING] I’ve never worn the uniform, but I’ve been in combat for this country in Afghanistan, Iraq, Kuwait, been shot at. Spent nights in foxholes filling up with water in the desert. I’m not aware that the President of the United States has ever done any of those things for his country. Please correct me if I’m wrong. You become a journalist because you love the First Amendment. You become a journalist because you love the country. And while all the other descriptions that the President used about me might be applicable, not that one. [CRYING] There is no democracy without journalism. It can’t be done. And that is why I am a journalist.”

If you want to see what it looks like when I coach a younger guy and help them, start at 14:55, where Tommy is talking about getting into Med School and not going. From there, the episode shifts into a 45 minute coaching session where @EMBurlingame and I help see a few things differently, and Tommy makes the decision to radically change his life b/c it. I have done this on a few other podcasts before, where I come on as the guest and then it ends up being a coaching session for the podcast host. These always become incredibly useful for the recipient, but obviously I never plan these out.

He is right, but arguing with fools is a trap. When you talk sense to a fool, they can only hear foolishness.
Replying to @AOC
The idea that all billionaires got their money by exploiting peopl doesn't hold up to any scrutiny. JK Rowling wrote books about cheeky wizards. I invented a better way to make virtual reality headsets and games to play on them. We just made things people wanted.

He is trying to find truth. She is saying what she believes will get her power and status. There is no compromise between those approaches .

Most all history you learn is the same level of craven and intentional propaganda as this headline. We happen to be in a window where this is very clear to at least some of us.
Kyle Rittenhouse, who gained fame for opening fire at a 2020 civil rights rally in Wisconsin, was hospitalized after he was bitten by a venomous spider, the noted firearms enthusiast says. nbcnews.com/news/us-news/gun…

If you don't know Jesse Cole and the Savannah Bananas, they're the biggest story in sports. But what's he really like? I met Jesse when he was a nobody struggling to get attention, and this is a 🧵 about the REAL Jesse that shows up when the cameras are off.

Jesse created this movement, and it's amazing and wonderful. If you want to experience joy and be part of something the opposite of everything wrong with the world, go to one of their games. You will feel this all for yourself.
