3 terrible at bats after 2 walks to start the 8th. Vientos chasing as usual. Alvarez misses two fat fastballs because he drops his back shoulder trying to uppercut everything into HRs, and Benge is now 5-32 since his 5-5 game in San Diego #Mets

Gary just detailed how the #Mets hitters are setting franchise records for futility. Stearns fired all the hitting coaches last winter and hired even bigger analytic clowns. It sure is paying off, huh

And the analytics department blows it again by having Semien playing behind second base in a bunt situation so he couldn't cover 1B. Here's an idea, have baseball people run the game #Mets

This crappy hitting approach doesn't work, it has never worked #Mets

The only strike Young saw that entire at bat he didn't swing at. Every pitch he swung at was out of the strike zone #Mets

Once again the crack analytics dept has the #Mets hitters totally unprepared. Singer is throwing fastball strikes and no one is swinging
56
HEY STEARNS, YOUR ANALYTICS PITCHING APPROACH SUCKS AS BADLY AS YOUR ANALYTICS HITTING APPROACH #Mets

And yet another fundamentals mistake with Melendez not scoring on that hit by Bichette. This team is a complete mess, they do nothing well #Mets

Can Stearns be fired before the end of this game? Another punt game because Stearns refuses to admit too much analytics is killing the team and doesn't know what a good pitcher looks like. So sick of it #Mets

Way to go Stearns. And Keith ripping the idiotic pitch calling from the #Mets, something I've said for several years now. Too much emphasis on secondary pitches and not enough fastballs. But Stearns doesn't believe in throwing strikes. He does love punting games, though #Mets

Another Stearns disaster. Myers is terrible and Stearns refuses to acquire high level starting pitching #Mets

Why did they take Peralta out? It's ridiculous, he'd pitched well after the first inning #Mets

Same here. This one is for all the fans who were there but too young to remember 70 and 73, and then saw every one of the following 53 years. Having to watch the Celtics win, and the Sixers win. Now its our turn. Champions, finally #AlwaysKnicks #Knicks
When I first followed basketball, Reed & DeBusschere were retired, & Frazier, Monroe & Bradley were nearly done. I've heard about '70 & '73 my whole life. Who'd have thought I'd wait all these years to witness my first Knicks championship? Finally, they're the last ones standing.

Now Bridges clearly gets whacked in the face and no call. Spurs getting all the calls again #Knicks

There's no way they can't call that a flagrant on Wemby. He clearly took the space away, it's an easy call. Especially after they gave Towns that BS 4th foul. The refs giving it to the Spurs again #Knicks

Manaea pitched well, which is a good sign. The lineup Stearns put out there was dreadful. And once again terrible pitch selection at the worst possible times, giving up a home run because velocity and spin are more important than executing pitches for the overly analytical #Mets

What are ridiculous call that is. It clearly was over the orange line #Mets

Thank you for this! I wish the #Knicks would go back to the orange lanes. Looks so much better
MSG = Iconic

Good win, not that most of us saw it. Barely hung on but good to see Bichette keep hitting. Need at least a split this weekend. Now 4.5 out of a WC spot because the rest of the NL aint great #Mets

In case there's anyone left who doesn't believe this has been a total rig job against the #Knicks
Tim Donaghy explains to a T what we’re witnessing in this series, Knicks up 2-0, come back to NY and the league trains and preps these refs to lock in on KAT and extend the series 2-2 in anticipation of a 7 game series. The whole shit is fixed.
