On my final day working @PackardFdn, my son suggested I take a pic with this portrait. It’s a mosaic of young David and Lucile Packard, composed entirely of #PackardFellows. To all my Foundation friends and Fellows, thank you for an incredible 18 years. ❤️
Do you have research that would benefit from a visualization? LA Tech's VISTA program pairs students in their #scientific#visualization program with clients to create #sciart, like this piece by Alaycia Moore. Check out some of their work here: bit.ly/3ZrS3XV#scicomm
Hey #PackardFellows! Our friend, Tim, has a new song (the first in the @acapellascience series on immunology). And it’s even catchier than the Two Minute Summary of your talks! 🦦🎶
✨Meet the 2022 #PackardFellows!✨
These 20 early career scientists and engineers are daring to think big, asking questions and exploring new areas of research that can change our world.
We are excited to see what they do with this 5 year fellowship! bit.ly/PackardFellows2022
.@vwang_vt conducts research in #biomechanics, specifically related to musculoskeletal injuries. He knew early on he wanted to incorporate artificial intelligence into his research, so he pursued collaborations with experts in other fields. vtx.vt.edu/articles/2022/07/…
Absolutely thrilled to welcome @celestemnelson to the #PackardFellows Advisory Panel! And deep gratitude to @francesarnold for 15 years on our science board -- selecting 273 Packard Fellows during that period (and countless gong ringing at our meetings).
⭕ 🌟 A full circle moment 🌟 ⭕
Dr. Celeste Nelson became a #PackardFellow in 2008 & today takes her seat on the Packard Fellows Advisory Panel to support the next generation of brilliant scientists to explore new frontiers in #STEM. bit.ly/3rsLIvc#FellowsFriday
Star struck! 🤩 These kids were absolutely giddy to meet @roxannesbeltran at Ano Nuevo. Thank you for sharing amazing facts about elephant seals and telling stories about your dream job as a scientist. This experience will stay with them for a lifetime! #WowedByScience
I find it interesting that all three recent US female #NobelPrize winners in the sciences were supported by the @PackardFdn early in their careers. Such early support is critical to be able to pursue new ideas.
Super excited about this collaboration of 8 brilliant (and fun) #PackardFellows. Spread the word on this summer internship program which aims to bring underrepresented groups into #geosciences. Info session on 1/26. Sign up at urg2.earth.
It's crucial that everyone be able to participate in and contribute to science and tech.

When our Foundation staff leave their books out in the open, there are unintended discoveries – like this 8-year old’s takeaways from Walter Isaacson’s “The Code Breaker” featuring Packard Fellow @doudna_lab & gene editing technology #CRISPR. 🧬👩🏻🔬
