I'm very sad to share that the new Twitter leadership has decided to ban all third-party clients without warning, and Tweetium has now been blocked from connecting to the service. Thank you for your support over the years. Tweetium has now been delisted from the Store.

Some time over the past 48 hours Twitter rolled out a change which broke conversation views in Tweetium (again). I've begun investigating to determine what exactly broke. Hopefully will have an update out soon, though a lot will depend on how quickly Store certification happens.

Update: I have submitted a new build of the app to the Store. This is a hopefully short-term mitigation for the conversation issue. Unfortunately this fix will only display the selected tweet and up to 5 priors in the thread, and no replies to the selected tweet.

I'm not sure how quickly it will be approved by the Store certification process (could be hours or days). I will be investigating options for restoring richer functionality, including the possibility that some of Twitter's new "v2" API (in preview) may help.

Unfortunately due to a Store packaging issue, the latest update (build 507) does not actually include the intended fixes. A new update will be made available soon to correct this and include those fixes for real.

Another update rolling out today, version 4.3.1 (4.3.506) This release is codenamed "ThreadZilla" as it includes improved UX for threads with *lots* of participants. A few other small fixes are included as well.

New app update (4.3) has been submitted to the store for certification. Hopefully it will get through tonight but sometimes it can take a few days. This update includes two main changes: - Fix for expanded / conversation view - Twitter handles in replies no longer take up space

Tweetium users have probably noticed that Twitter broke more functionality in the app this week. I'm currently investigating the problem and will post an update here once I know more. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Good news! I've been able to develop a new solution to fix thread view. After a bit more testing I will submit an app update to the store which will resolve the problem. Thank you for your patience.

Today's app update removes streaming functionality and will no longer display the "Stream error: gone" message.  The update also fixes a bug with autocomplete/suggestions that was causing them not to work with mouse clicks.

If you're seeing a "Stream error: gone" message, this is due to Twitter gradually turning off the Streaming API, as part of #BreakingMyTwitter. An app update will be available soon which will disable Streaming functionality and this error.

Notice: I'm sad to announce that Tweetium Pro is no longer being offered due to Twitter's impending shutdown of their Streaming API. Existing Pro users will continue to enjoy benefits until Twitter's change goes into effect. After that, push notifications and Connect will break.

Other functionality such as multiple account support will continue to work after that. However, at this time, most Windows users will want to check out Twitter's official app, as Twitter is making it impossible for other apps to continue going forward.

If you experienced an error signing in to the app in the last couple of days, please try again. Twitter made a breaking change without notifying developers. This should be resolved now.

Latest update to Tweetium is in the store now! 4.2.1 brings support for the new 280 character limit, as well as a few bug fixes. More to come, too!
