Raising the retirement age to 65 years for all government employees is the only way forward for Kerala to overcome the challenges created by pension expenditure, which could equal salary expenditure within a decade.
The longer we delay, the more detrimental it will be to the youth of Kerala, because without increasing strategic capital investment, it will be difficult to generate remunerative employment in the private sector.
