Q9: Never keep your phone in your lap. We are so conditioned to look down at our phones if they buzz, light up, or ring. Keeping the phone, and especially the phone *screen*, out of view is a great way to stay focused. (1/2) #JustDrive21 @NSCsafety

Q9: Silence those notifications! Do Not Disturb While Driving mode is an awesome tool that will keep your phone quiet, and let people know you’re driving if they try to reach you, that way they don’t stress if you’re not texting back (ahem...mom). (2/2) #JustDrive21 @NSCsafety

Drivers can activate a phone setting to block notifications while their vehicle is in motion. On the iPhone it’s called “Do Not Disturb While Driving.” Our Travelers Risk Index found that only 15% of drivers currently use this setting. #EverySecondMatters #JustDrive21
