I know nobody cares, but I’m gonna at least take a break from this app. Moving over to Bluesky until this gets less volatile or dies. Looking forward to continuing the conversation about Mississippi sports and politics there. Adios and good luck.
Big news in education here in Mississippi! @JansenOwen has introduced a bill aimed at giving parents more control over their kids' education.
This bill would allow parents to choose a school that’s the best fit for their child without worrying about the sending district blocking their decision.
JLM was the first USM coach to give me one-on-one time when I became sports editor of the Student Printz. I can tell you first-hand how she went out of her way to promote her program and her players.
Women’s hoops had a family feel to it, and she had some great teams.

For the first time in the history of Ole Miss men’s basketball, the Rebels have beaten a Top 5 team on the road.
What an effort for Chris Beard’s team. Defensive masterpiece and Malik Dia is him. 4-0 in SEC play.

College is the only level where hype can actually lead your roster to improve. That’s why Deion got pantsed by Herbert Davis and MRA, and it’s why he would get embarrassed by the best coaches in the world weekly in the NFL.
