Iโm doing some deeper research on Jerone Morton and seeing that one of his more notable performances from this past season came against No. 9 Gonzaga on Jan. 15.
In that 85-65 loss he totaled 16 pts (season-high), 2 boards and 2 assists, while shooting 6-11 (54.5%) from the field and 3-6 (50%) from deep.
7.8 points per game may not be appealing at first glance, but seeing a strong performance against not just a top-10 school, but against Gonzaga, is definitely encouraging.
