Preprint 🚨 - our phylogenetic phylodynamic analyses suggest H58 𝘚. Typhi emerged in the late 1980s in India, likely from a chronic carrier, and was already MDR. tinyurl.com/originh58

If you want to understand the epidemiology of typhoid in an endemic area, it helps to undertake regular and in-depth analysis of strains - made relatively easy by genomic methods. Trouble is, that in many endemic areas, there are not a lot of strains.../2
