Often itโ€™s impossible to get to the frontline areas by car, so volunteers go kilometers on foot to save the animals. Yesterday a miracle happened: Anastasia Klumnyuk brought the horse to safety, walking with them through the forest, hiding from drones, all by herself. She then drove the horse to Animal Rescue Home Shelter, where the animal will finally be safe and free from exploitation. And we paid for fuel for this challenging rescue ๐Ÿค

Everyone needs food and shelter. And for strays itโ€™s getting harder, especially near the frontline. So we distribute cat and dog food through volunteers to help the caretakers in these communities. Yesterday one of them, Viktoria Ovsyannikova , distributed 220 kilograms of food and 55 treatments for 120 animals in Bohodukhiv and Lozova in Kharkiv region. Now weโ€™re sure these dogs and cats wonโ€™t go to sleep hungry tonight!

22 dead bodies of cetaceans were found in Ukraine in one day. Just 25 kilometers of the sea shore in Tuzly Estuaries National Park were explored that day. The deaths of these cetaceans were caused by russiaโ€™s attacks and pollution. #StopEcocideUkraine

Animals from frontline areas usually are very weak after the evacuation. So we make sure to keep in touch with shelters and vet clinics that took them in โ€” and we pay for the treatment. Yesterday, we covered the costs of treatment ๐Ÿˆโ€โฌ› For Leon the cat in Zaporizhzhia โ€” hospitalisation, injection therapy, bandaging and food; ๐Ÿถ For puppies Manny and Rosie โ€” hospitalisation, consumables and food; ๐Ÿ• For Miranda the dog in Odesa โ€” veterinary examination, tests and neutering; ๐Ÿถ For the puppy Gera, who was brought to the clinic after the last vet mission โ€” hospitalisation, feeding, medication administration and medicines. Unfortunately, despite all the vetsโ€™ efforts, we were unable to save the puppy. Sometimes itโ€™s too late or the condition is too severe, and that is the most painful part of our work ๐Ÿ’” Thank you to everyone who makes this help possible!

Food is always needed โ€” and with the growing number of strays near the frontline, itโ€™s hard to keep up. Thatโ€™s why we are starting a new fundraiser for animals who found love and care at soldiersโ€™ positions. Donate to fill someoneโ€™s bowl ๐Ÿ’™ uanimals.org/en/zbir/fundraiโ€ฆ

This dog has come to a new home! She was abused before, so a local volunteer rescued her, and we brought the animal to her new caretaker. In the video, heโ€™s saying that theyโ€™ll go for a walk, sheโ€™ll rest and get used to her new life over time. May more animals find a new home ๐Ÿ’™

Druzi Space shelter had to evacuate quickly as the frontline was just 10-15 kilometers away from them. So now they need enclosures for new and sick animals at their new safer location ๐Ÿพ uanimals.org/en/zbir/fundraiโ€ฆ 2/2

Yesterday, Berta the dog arrived in Kyiv after we evacuated her from Shakhtarsk in Dnipropetrovsk region. Her ัaretaker is a military medic, and her daughter asked us to bring Berta to safety. The family had already left, and the dog remained with the soldiers to whom they had provided their home. The soldiers could no longer stay with the animal, so we had only one day to pick up the dog. We reached out to Alika Mikhailova from Da Vinci Wolves battalion. She responded, and the very next morning, thanks to the soldiers, Berta was at Save Animals shelter in Dnipro. In the coming days, weโ€™ll try to get her to her caretakerโ€™s daughter in Kyiv.

On 6 June 2023, russia destroyed the dam of Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant. This attack claimed the lives of people and animals, and destroyed homes and ecosystems. To russia, no life matters, as it is committing genocide and ecocide. Speak up about the war in Ukraine ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ

We are driving this dog away from the people who harmed her. For now, all she has is this ball to play with, and some people who couldnโ€™t ignore her suffering. Wish her luck on her way to a new life!
