UCPD issued 57 citations during a two-day e-scooter, e-bike and bicycle safety operation focused on protecting pedestrians in high-traffic campus areas.
PSAs also made more than 100 educational contacts with the Bruin community.

The UCLA Police Department is grieving the loss of K-9 Blake, who passed away today due to a medical condition.
Blake served with loyalty, energy, and heart throughout his caree. He retired in December 2025 after 6.5 years of dedicated service.

The caller claims to be Police Chief Valenzuela, states there is a warrant for drug activity, and demands money to prevent an arrest. (1/2)
(2/2) Some calls appear to come from UCPD's number due to spoofing. UCPD will never demand money to resolve a warrant or avoid arrest.

Yesterday, Officer Martin graduated from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and was sworn in as the newest member of the UCLA Police Department. He’ll be patrolling campus after additional training. 💙
🚨 Clery Time Warning: UCLA PD received a report of a sexual assault that occurred around 12:00 a.m. on January 12 in the 600 block of Landfair Avenue. UCLA PD is investigating, and anyone with information is asked to call 310-825-1491.

🚨 Incident Resolved
At 2:10 PM, UCLAPD received a report that a person brandished a gun during a road-rage incident at Parking Structure 8. Officers responded, took the suspect into custody, and confirmed the firearm was an airsoft gun.
There is no threat to the community.
