New profile by current Endocrine fellows at UCSF! Follow along for a glimpse into our fellowship and life in beautiful San Franciso. All opinions our own.
We escaped! Our endocrine fellows put their deductive reasoning skills to the test with a special ops mystery escape room. Successfully completed the mission with 13 minutes to spare! ✨
For Endo grand rounds, Dr. Kaia Schwarz (@kmschwartz ) presented some fascinating cases of complete androgen insensitivity syndrome (CAIS). Pearls: 1. Dual treatment with estrogen AND testosterone has benefits. 2. Gonadectomy not as certainly beneficial as previously thought.
Congratulations to first year endocrine fellow, Dr. Aye Khine @ayekhineMD , who was selected by IM house staff as the Endocrinology fellow of the year 2024 for her fantastic teaching on the wards. Great work Dr. Khine, well deserved! @UCSFIMChiefs#EndoTwitter
New faculty at UCSF and the SF VA, Dr. Kelly Wentworth presenting her work at ENDO, using single cell RNA seq to study mosaic
fibrous dysplasia in McCune Albright’s Syndrome (MAS). An excellent match of disease to technique. #ENDO2024
To kick off LGBTQ Pride Month, we feature a cover story on Julie Ann Sosa, MD (@Jasosamd), the Leon Goldman MD Distinguished Professor of Surgery at the University of California San Francisco (@UCSF) and Chair of UCSF’s Department of Surgery and her remarkable journey.
In her heartfelt acceptance speech, Dr. Shoback said “I would like to thank the fellows, residents, and medical students of UCSF. It has been a privilege to work with you my entire career.”
We feel the same way!!!
