Our SA COVID-19 Mental Health Support Line has reached 2 significant milestones recently – its one-year anniversary & its 23,000th contact. The Line was set up in March 2020 to help community members & those in hotel quarantine to manage the mental health effects of COVID-19.

These contacts are made up of: 📞 14,132 calls to people in hotel quarantine for an initial wellbeing check (including people who declined a check) 📞 3135 follow-up calls to people in hotel quarantine 📞 5898 incoming calls from members of the community.

The Senate Economics Legislation Committee will soon vote on changes to the National Consumer Credit Protection (Supporting Economic Recovery) Bill 2020. We're asking them to oppose these, to help consumers avoid 'debt disaster' because of unaffordable & unsuitable lending.
