Why does all this matter? Because golf’s impact is massive: 💰 $102B annual economic impact 👷 Nearly 2 million U.S. jobs supported ❤️ $6B raised for charities each year 🌎 A growing commitment to sustainability

Golf generated $102 billion in economic impact last year — powered by travel, tournaments, and everyday play. In 2024 alone, Americans took 26 million #golf trips. #GolfDrivesBusiness #NationalGolfDay

Hey Connecticut…if you’re on the tail end of your last dollar spot spray might want to re-apply. Pressure is going to go through the roof this weekend.

Looks like some pythium foliar blight appearing on some fairway areas. Small black spots that appear to be expanding with an abundance of mycelium. Spray out tomorrow on fairway surfaces. @UConnTurfpath

Seeing a lot of pythium blight in the region with the high night temps and humidity. Particularly where water sits from recent rain. Phosphites ok most years for New England but this stretch of weather is calling for true pythium fungicides.

Continuing to see ring-like symptoms on poa and bent greens across several states this spring that are not Waitea. Maxtima and Affirm providing curative control...likely others more work needed. Fertility-warmer temps-growth are key to symptom recovery.

I have to commend the @MaineFalmouth for removing old language and inserting #GolfBMPs to exempt golf from their proposed pesticide ban. Maine golf BMPs are comprehensive science based practices to achieve playability standards, while promoting sound environmental practices.

Yellow rings have been prevalent on poa greens in CT this spring. Surprisingly, mycelium observed from these rings is not Waitea. Unique mycelium (clamp connections) suggest a different fungus may be causing. If you have rings send sample to cahnr.uconn.edu/turflab/
