🔊Big news, Kimball Junction travelers:
We published the Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) and Record of Decision (ROD) for our study to improve transportation in the Kimball Junction area, selecting Alternative C: Intersection Improvements with Pedestrian Enhancements.

This means signal improvements and widening areas of existing pavement while keeping most of the existing layout and pavement in place, including the I-80/SR-224 interchange.
We considered transportation performance, impacts on the natural and human environment, and cost.
