In the span of 1 year, @unstoppableweb has: - Removed decentralized payments - Made KYC mandatory - Disabled self-custody on tokenized .com's, etc - Abandoned and disowned web3 domains - Nuked the Github documentation This is what @mattgould, @sandy_carter & @ntropiq did.
Unstoppable Domains seem to have silently deleted their smart contracts from GitHub. Any of their fans left? The Bulgarians from Unstartabledomains.com also allegedly have access to incriminating inside information. This may well end as a class action lawsuit bringing UD down.

The ultimate FU to @unstoppableweb would be for someone to hardfork their web3 domain contract, steal the userbase, then succeed.

Unstoppable Domains continues sunsetting their web3 features. Going from a mediocre platform with a niche use case—to now just completely mediocre. And to obscure the fact, they literally built a pointless "custodial re-tokenization" system to confuse the stupid. What a move.

The fact that they're offering "custodial re-tokenization" into NFT's that can't be self-custodied nor traded on the blockchain is pure nonsense. It's tokenization without a purpose. They literally built a feature whose sole purpose is to confuse users to stop complaints.

And FYI, they started implementing those changes 6 months ago without a word. That email is way too late.

Latest update from the scammers @unstoppableweb & @mattgould: You can no longer self-custody while listing web3 domains on their platform.

P.S. As extra salt on the wound, their bulk transfer feature has never worked properly.

Their usual slimeball employee @ntropiq had this to say, as if they suddenly can't get web3 contracts to work:

The point of DNS domain tokenization was for greater ease of trading, not necessarily decentralization. (Because DNS is centralized, after all.) @unstoppableweb's platform has regressed so much that it still applies tokenization... but without greater ease of trading whatsoever.

Because of all the features UD removed, their use of blockchain tokenization is now just complexity without benefit. They now actually have an objectively inferior platform instead of one with a niche advantage. (Not to mention buggy as hell and badly-designed.)

Case in point: x.com/UDTradingClub/status/2… 🤦‍♂️

Unstoppable Domains is inflating their DNS stewardship claims with subsidized .com registrations. They're losing money, hoping people will stay after they end the discounts... Which I believe is unlikely given how broken their platform is.

Unstoppable Domains disabled direct buys. (Even on web3 domains.) If you click "buy" on something, you will now have to wait for the seller to either confirm the purchase or change their mind. @unstoppableweb is on the longest streak of WTF decisions I've ever seen.
So, apparently, the reason UD doesn't ask for token approval anymore is that they now ask sellers to manually sign transfers *after* someone clicks buy. i.e. They made direct buys impossible. Another genius move from @unstoppableweb.

Sellers can't set-and-forget their listings anymore either because of this.

Unstoppable Domains has 300k followers. Their last tweet got 8 likes in 24 hours. The sheer stupidity and dishonorable conduct of @unstoppableweb's management made them one of the most hated companies on CT.

The Unstoppable Domains website added a lot of AI features recently and yet has simultaneously regressed into the most backwards and buggy piece of crap I've ever used. The entire platform now feels like a corpse held up by strings and vibe-coded duct tape.

Noticed something odd. Listing web3 domains on @unstoppableweb no longer requires token approval from the wallet owner. Did UD just completely centralize the contract?

Is this why they nuked the Github documentation?

Come to @unstoppableweb if you want: - Bad market design. - Bugs galore. - Poor privacy. - Incompetent & deceptive management. - Good customer support. (But I'm sure they'll ruin that soon too.) #UnstoppableDomains™️

Not only are they burying and hiding web3 domains -- Almost every facet of web3 functionality on the @unstoppableweb site is low-key no longer functional or has unmaintained bugs. Unstoppable Domains is wearing a shell of web3 features that barely works as intended anymore.

I can literally try to do 10 different things and get 15 different bugs. - Moving domains has problems. - Connecting/disconnecting wallets has problems. - Sending/receiving offers has problems. - Direct buys are failing. - Email 2FA fails. - Sales activity logs are wrong.

I used to be one of the most active users. If I didn't still have assets stuck with the platform, I would not touch it with a ten-foot pole now in fear of even worse critical vulnerabilities.
