Coastal Peru is one of the driest places on earth, especially around Lima Annual rainfall is ~0.5"/year. Dominant sod sold in Peru is St. Augustine and wherever water is withheld or neglected it is quickly overtaken by Bermudagrass. Bermudagrass is a far better option for lawns.

First photo is my in-laws home where this was pure St. Aug a couple years ago. They aren't here much and water is neglected. It has rapidly been overtaken by Bermudagrass. Same goes for the second photo where water is sparse and traffic is high. Super interesting stuff!!!

I did not have kikuyagrass on my bingo card for the most common and persistent turfgrass in the Peruvian Andes at an altitude of ~2400m

Remember, all of these methods are infinitely scalable. The steps are the same regardless of equipment size. Also, Spanish speakers make up a large portion of turfgrass managers. We need to make sure we support them as well!
