Safety is a shared responsibility. Watch Chief Monroe interview with Dani Jaffe about safety on our campus.
Keeping the University of Kentucky campus safe takes planning, partnership and transparency. UK Police Chief Joe Monroe sat down with UK Public Relations and Strategic Communications to talk about how safety is built into campus life, particularly in residence halls, why the university shares crime information and what role every member of the UK community plays in staying safe.šŸš” uknow.uky.edu/campus-news/ca…

Don’t forget. Tomorrow morning we are testing the UK Alert system.
šŸ“¢ UK Alert System Test this Wednesday! On Wednesday, March 4, the University of Kentucky Police Department will conduct a university-wide test of the UK Alert emergency notification system at 10 a.m. Shortly after, at 10:07 a.m., we will also participate in the statewide tornado drill led by the National Weather Service. To ensure you receive these notifications and stay informed during a real emergency, please take a moment to review your settings: šŸ”¹ Faculty & Staff: You must download and register in the SafeZone app to receive alerts via phone call or text. Employees who haven't registered in the app will only receive email alerts. šŸ”¹Students: Ensure your current cell phone number is updated in myUK to automatically receive text and phone alerts. šŸ”¹Parents & Community: Want to stay in the loop? Sign up for text alerts by texting ā€œUKY-FAMILYā€ or ā€œUKY-COMMUNITYā€ to 59713. What to expect during the test: You’ll see and hear the alert across multiple platforms, including text, email, indoor/outdoor speakers, and digital signage. If a real emergency occurs that morning, the test will be rescheduled. Learn More: bit.ly/4b4ZhY0 #UKY #BBN #WildcatReady #CampusSafety #UKAlert #LexingtonKY
