The Paul Buteux Memorial Lecture is name after Dr. Paul Buteux who founded the Political Studies Students' Conference 40 years ago. It is the longest standing student conference of its kind in Canada!!

We will be hosting a two-day conference to mark the 40th annual J.W. Dafoe PSSC on 29 - 30 January 2025. It is entitled “The UN at 80” and commemorates the 80th anniversary of the UN. Don’t forget to mark your calendar and stay tuned for more information!!

Next week, starting January 31 at the Great Hall, we will be hosting the annual PSSC with two events 1:00-2:15 and 2:30-3:45! Then, on February 1, at the Robert Schultz Lecture theater located at St John's college, we will have our events lecture starting at 6:30-8:00pm!

The annual PSSC is on its way! We are honored to have U.S. Political Officer Jennifer Tierney. Jen Tierney joined the Foreign Service in 2006 following a successful career as an attorney specializing in international law.
