We arrived at this position because of people like you lobbying for continuing to grow energy demand. You lobbied for Shannon LNG which are proposing to build 8 new data centres along with importing fracked gas.

It’s hard to understand how we’ve arrived at this position.
Ireland,a modern first world economy, may have to ration electricity, would be a catastrophe failure of energy policy.
Its worrying that it comes as a surprise to Government, as this issue was also flagged last year.

I’m not sure how understood it is that #ShannonLNG would mean importing gas from fracking in the US - fracking involves huge additional releases of methane through leakages as well as poisoning water supplies in the areas the fracking takes place.
