Midway the 2-weeks the ongoing Tech4Peace Bootcamp taking place in Thiès, Senegal, the young participants got a surprise post-diner visit from Njoya Tikum, Director of the UNDP Subregional Hub for West and Central Africa & Senegal Resident Representative. After an intensive first full week of training, they were getting ready for an exciting social night when @NTikum dropped in. He took the opportunity to congratulate them for being the lucky ones out of over 22,000 young Africans who applied for the Tech4Peace hands-on training. "Take advantage of the knowledge and skills you’re gaining here to solve problems across different sectors in Africa. Look beyond your individual countries, builds partnerships and strengthen your networks…” Njoya Tikum encouraged them. After sharing a few critical tips to succeed, he promised to be back at the closing ceremony scheduled for Friday, 19 June 2026.
