ALT Human Rights Day 2025 On this Human Rights Day, we reflect on the promise and the gaps in global human rights. While laws like the UDHR and CEDAW set a universal standard, women and girls still face systemic violence, inequality, and digital and climate-based threats. Progress has been made—education, health, and representation have improved—but millions remain at risk. Rights only matter when they’re enforced, funded, and protected in everyday life.
