Est. June 2014 UNITE’s Irish Archaeological Branch aims to secure a Registered Employment Agreement for archaeologists working in Ireland. New members welcome!
Full solidarity with our colleagues on the N2 who drew a line in the sand with their protest today and said #Enough.
Shanarch Archaeology told them they wouldn’t be paid for the public holiday on Monday 6th February, even though that’s illegal! #TIIHeritage#Enough
These archaeologists are entitled to being paid the public holiday by law and they’ve suffered horrendous working conditions on this scheme.
The poor treatment of archaeologists, by some employers, has to stop, we’re looking to hear from all archaeologists who’ve had #Enough

1/2 Oh dear - I hear the boys are getting worried. Now leaking stories that I’m too hard on bad employers. Well I don’t see bad employers having regard for our members when they #fireandrehire workers at will.
Archaeological Branch members Maggie Kobik, Clare Ryan and Caroline McGrath talk about why they’re voting for Sharon Graham – a woman who will provide the strong leadership needed for Unite to effectively advocate for all workers – women and men.#Ireland4SharonGraham#SG4GS
