Watching posts like this should cause all of us to pause and think deeper about the spiritual reality playing out around us. Most people imagine evil as something obvious — loud, cartoonish, openly hateful. But Scripture warns repeatedly that deception is far more subtle than that. Evil often hides behind labels, emotion, propaganda, fear, tribalism, slogans, and manipulated “good intentions.” We should seriously ask ourselves: What happens when good-hearted people are emotionally conditioned to support destruction, bloodshed, hatred, division, or the sacrificing of innocent lives while believing they are morally righteous? What is more innocent than children? What happens when humanity loses discernment and begins calling evil good and good evil? This Memorial Day, I want to say with genuine respect and gratitude: honor to those who sacrificed believing they were protecting freedom, family, agency, and the people they loved. Many warriors throughout history carried sincere hearts and immense courage. But honoring sacrifice also means having the courage to ask difficult questions. Are the powers behind many global conflicts truly serving humanity? Or are there people behind closed doors driven by greed, power, corruption, and spiritual darkness — manipulating entire populations against one another for their own gain?
