Today, the United Nations Command Security Battalion welcomed LTC Michael Baker as he assumed command from LTC Daniel Blankenhorn during a Change of Command ceremony presided over by @CDRUNCCFCUSFK
As the only fully ROK-U.S. combined battalion and UNC unit permanently stationed in the DMZ, the UNCSB has stood watch since 1953, safeguarding the JSA, supporting dialogue between both sides, protecting the residents of TSD village, and upholding the Armistice Agreement.
Thank you, LTC Blankenhorn, for your dedicated leadership and service to the battalion and the Armistice mission. Congratulations to LTC Baker as he takes the colors and leads the next chapter of the UNCSB’s proud legacy.
