A group of 16 Cadets URNU enjoyed a fantastic guided kayak tour around the Dartmouth Estuary in warm, sunny weather. During the trip, the local marine and coastal environment was in abundance, such as seals and a variety of birdlife, including cormorants and oystercatchers. (1/2)

The experience helped Cadets develop their kayaking skills, and appreciate the importance of protecting natural environments. It was an excellent way to keep all active, engaged, and enjoying the outdoors while building confidence, fitness and teamwork. (2/2)

6 Cadets from Devon URNU made the arduous (but rewarding!) 55 mile trek from Brecon village to HMS CAMBRIA this week on Ex TAFF TRAIL. Blessed with fantastic weather, the group teamed up with other URNU members for this amazing challenge.

Training Night for Devon URNU this week consisted of a Sports Olympiad, pitting the 3 Divisions of the URNU against one another as they vied for outright victory in the sports of Brighter Cricket, Basketball and BucketBall! 2/2

Devon URNU took on Ex Camel Trail - a 35km countryside cycle from Bodmin to Padstow and back. The route offered incredible views of the River Camel and a chance to explore the picturesque village of Padstow, including a visit the Service Memorial at the mouth of the River Camel.

Overcoming the rain, the surf was ‘up’ and all participants were provided with expert instruction over the 2-day package on how to get to grips with board and wave!  Our thanks to RM Chivenor for hosting us during this period. (2/2)

We looked at the Royal Navy's historic connection to Gibraltar and it's strategic significance over the centuries, as well as volunteering for local outreach activities. Our highlights were the CBF Gibraltar state of the nation brief with Cdre Guy and scuba diving!(2/3)

This weekend, 6 Cadets from URNU Devon took part in an exciting Powerboat experience that saw all 6 gain an RYA Level 2 Powerboat qualification. (1/2)

The team were blessed with kind weather and calm seas in Plymouth Sound, and really got to grips with all aspects of these small, but very powerful(!) vessels. BZ to all those that took part! (2)2
