Rookie of the Year Contender Olivia Thayer Is Ready for Eastern Storm
Olivia Thayer is ready for the challenge that comes with the 2026 Eastern Storm.
The blue-eyed blonde from Hanover may be soft-spoken away from the racetrack, but once the helmet goes on, she isn’t afraid to stand on the throttle and race with anyone in the field.
Thayer has already shown plenty of speed, determination, and grit throughout the 2026 season with the USAC East Coast Sprint Cars presented by Baer Den Farms. As one of the leading Rookie of the Year contenders, she continues to gain confidence with every lap and every race.
While she has dabbled in 410 non-wing competition in the past, this season has been different. Armed with more experience, more knowledge, and a chip on her shoulder, Thayer has elevated her game behind the wheel of the No. 39T.
Her season-opening performance at Bridgeport Motorsports Park turned heads when she earned the C&C Landscape Hard Charger Award after slicing through the field and passing 11 cars en route to an 11th-place finish. Just weeks later, she backed up that impressive drive with a top-five finish at Big Diamond Speedway, proving that her speed is no fluke.
Now, one of the biggest tests of her young career awaits as the stars of the USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car Series invade the Northeast for Eastern Storm. The competition will be tougher than ever, but Thayer has shown all season that she belongs among the best.
There is little doubt she will be a fan favorite when the green flag waves, and there is even less doubt that she’ll be looking to make a statement against the national stars. If her early-season performances are any indication, Olivia Thayer is ready to show Eastern Storm exactly what a girl can do.
