Shane Beamer and his staff are bringing in five-star talent.
Rivals gives out 32 five-stars to end the year, and Gamecock commits Zyon Guiles (No. 24 and the No. 1 IOL) and Julian Walker (No. 26) will be getting one. Darius Gray dropped from our site’s rankings but remains an industry five-star and the industry’s No. 1 IOL, making two. And technically, Sequel Patterson was a five-star and the No. 10 player in the country before reclassifying into 2026.
That makes four five-star talents joining the class, along with the No. 10 QB and No. 8 DT in the country. For a program that had a down year, I’d say that’s pretty good.
