When citizens go to transact at the DMV (or other gov agency), they are paying for something important - a property right or credential that is backed by the power of the state. These become core building blocks for society. Most of those credentials are still stuck in the physical world today. Imagine what would happen if all of these credentials were digital... what is the downstream effect of upgrading this core social infrastructure? Huge.

History of E-titling: 1989 - First state to adopt and Electronic Lien and Title System, basically a crude bidirectional data flow between a lender (who would be a lienholder on the title) and the state Motor Vehicle Authority By 2025 - 36 States had adopted a form of ELT system
