A conversation, a check-in, or simply being present for someone can make a difference. Break the silence. Build connection. It takes a campus. Healing does not happen in isolation. Support, compassion, and connection remind people they are not alone — because healing begins with community, and it takes a campus. As we say goodbye to two valued members of the UTPD family, we want to recognize the lasting impact both have made through their service and dedication. Inspector Michael McCarter’s commitment to professionalism, integrity, and accountability played an important role in supporting the mission of UTPD and serving the department behind the scenes with excellence. Records Manager Shelley Adam was a constant source of organization, accuracy, and support for the department, ensuring reports, records, and case files were handled with care and professionalism every step of the way. We thank them both for their contributions to the department and wish them continued success in the years ahead.

This morning, UTPD joined students at Davis Elementary for “Careers on Wheels Day,” where Officer Ramos and Inspectors McCarter and Ignal showcased the department’s patrol boat and spoke with students about water safety, public service, and how the boat supports law enforcement and water rescue operations on Texas waterways. Thank you to Davis Elementary for inviting us to be part of such a fun and educational event. 🚤🤘 #WeSERVE #UTPD
