🇩🇪 MinerTalk: UTEP added Leif Möeller, a 6-foot-7 sophomore guard/forward transfer from Evansville.
The German product started all 32 games as a freshman in 2025-26, averaging 10.8 points, 4.0 assists, 3.8 rebounds and one steal per game. He ranked second in the Missouri Valley Conference in assists while shooting 37 percent from three-point range overall and 40 percent from the perimeter in league play.
Möeller’s game features explosive drives to the rim, sharp passing in transition and the ability to score at all three levels. He delivered multiple 18-point scoring outputs and showed stretches of solid shooting from the perimeter.
A versatile, high-IQ playmaker with size, Möeller gives coach Joe Golding a proven floor general to anchor a rebuilt backcourt.
His blend of athleticism, vision and perimeter skill should fit seamlessly into the Miners’ up-tempo system as UTEP transitions into a new era. 🔶
