One of the missions of our
#WiscWeeds program is to provide hands-on weed science and agronomy research experience to the next generation of practitioners.
It’s been an honor having Gage Anderson, a Spring 2025 BIO 152 undergrad researcher, working alongside our grad student Daniel Zhu in the greenhouse. Their research focuses on synergistic herbicide mixtures for postemergence grass control in Wisconsin corn fields where atrazine and/or glyphosate are not used
@wicorngrowers.
Gage is an Agronomy undergrad
@UWMadisonPAS and an active member of the Badger Crops Club, mentored by
@cmanibas. This summer Gage will be interning with
@SyngentaUS working under the mentorship our former grad student, Dr.
@JoseJr_Nunes. Exciting to see the next generation gaining valuable research experience!
