A step towards smarter and more efficient urban mobility with shared airport rides ✈️ Thank you, Hon’ble Delhi CM @gupta_rekha and Hon’ble Environment Minister @mssirsa, for flagging off Uber Share at T3. This initiative will help riders heading into the city share rides, reduce traffic congestion, and travel more efficiently. The launch aligns with Hon’ble PM Shri @narendramodi ji’s recent call encouraging greater adoption of shared mobility and more efficient use of transport infrastructure.

We’re partnering with @TheJSWGroup to explore EV solutions tailored for India’s ride-hailing ecosystem Together, we’ll explore scalable and locally relevant EV solutions to help support the next phase of electric mobility on the Uber platform. This marks another step forward in our commitment to expanding access to greener mobility options across India.

With Dara Khosrowshahi, the CEO of @Uber yesterday at our Mumbai office. I’ve been meeting Dara at regular intervals since he took charge in 2017. Watching Uber’s journey under him has been like watching a rocket mission unfold. At the outset, somewhat stranded on the launch pad, searching for fuel. Then, liftoff. After that, navigating atmospheric turbulence during Covid. And now, cruising steadily from one higher orbit to the next. He has crafted a remarkable, and at one stage unlikely, turnaround story. Yet he remains as down-to-earth, centred and connected with his colleagues as ever. Given his trajectory, we may well be hailing rides on an Uber spaceship in the not-too-distant future… @dkhos

Discussions included new Initiatives and future ready opportunities in Delhi and ideas for car pooling to augment public requirements optimally, in line with the recent national call of Hon’ble PM Shri @narendramodi Ji.

Today morning, Uber CEO Mr. @dkhos met me at Krishi Bhawan. Discussions related to Uber’s operations in the country and the future roadmap was held. Senior officials from @jagograhakjago were also present. At the onset, It was strongly insisted that Uber India, create an ecosystem where their existing fleet would transition towards EV while creating a support system for the partners & drivers who are currently on board. It was also communicated that, self auditing report on the existence of dark patterns and action taken report on such patterns need to be submitted at the earliest. As a Convergence Partner, Uber was advised to publish details of its Grievance Redressal Officer at the earliest and work towards timely resolution of complaints received on the NCH portal. While the Government of India continues to promote ease of doing business, safeguarding consumer interests remains equally important.
