Not sure who told Mr Wootton to pay £19K in the UK but focal therapy is available in the NHS without having to pay (in a number of centres).

It’s come to the point where if you don’t offer focal therapy in your centre, you should offer referral to a unit that does

This is an area which is currently under review with our Clinical Advisory Board, particularly on the back of the latest NICE HTA, which was published yesterday. We are working through the implications of this for patients and will be updating the infopool shortly to reflect this

Such a shame that your new infopool decision aid doesn’t take into account patient’s wishes to know of a minimally invasive therapy that has less impact on their quality of life.

Great initiative BUT
You’ve missed focal therapy out as an option so again reinforcing the outdated unethical view that 12,000 men who are eligible for HIFU & cryotherapy every yr in UK are better off NOT told about it. You should correct ASAP.
