As part of ongoing efforts to improve CU’s world and art, we will be introducing dynamic weather systems. Rather than a given zone appearing the same at a specific time of day, players will see sunshine, cloudy days, drizzling, rainstorms, and more throughout the realms!
In CU, line of sight in combat is crucial. Previously, our targeting system led to attacks that should have hit not connecting. Our Line of Sight update will drastically reduce instances of abilities failing to connect due to small terrain differences, height, or low obstacles.
We're working on updates for portals - new art and sound to help them serve as landmarks, as well as providing more information on where portals lead. Additionally, we are adjusting how you change zones. Instead of instantly teleporting, you’ll have more info on where portals go.
With CU’s Steam Early Access launch nearly here, we’ll spend the next few days showcasing what you can expect to see in the future. We’re working on improving water in the game - this includes more realistic surface effects, as well as dynamically applied lighting and shadows.
