I know a person who presents as a man, I met “him” as a man and “he” passes very well (can’t imagine what “he” looked like as a woman 😝.) Anyway, “he” says “he’s” straight because “he” is attracted to women. Simply telling the truth about fundamental differences between the gay and trans community isn't a phobia. And the truth is: both the straight and gay communities recognize there are two sexes — male and female — and are defined by sexual orientation: opposite-sex or same-sex attraction. The trans community is defined by gender identity — a subjective, internal sense of gender. PS: the current push to simply tack "orientation" onto trans questionnaires still doesn't make them the same group----- it just reflects that someone really really wants the world to believe that... for reasons that certainly beg the question: why?
