We’re rolling out every part of the project step by step: •PCB files for UnlockSwitch and its programmer •All Xtractor resources •The UnlockSwitch dev board •The software programmer flashing files for every component •The 3D-printed cases •Files needed for flashing all components. The core hardware is built on the Lattice ICE40 UP5K and the Espressif ESP32-S2. Each new drop will be announced on our X account. We’re NOT selling anything yet , sales will open only once everything has been publicly released. Transparency comes first ! All files are open for you to improve, remix, and contribute. Launch of Our Developer Community! A Quick Intro (Important to Us): Part 1: (Skip to Part 2 to Avoid the Chatter) A few months ago, we selected beta testers—probably by mistake—completely at random. Naturally, we had no idea who was really behind each Twitter account. In the end, it was a pretty bad pick… well, not 100%, but we definitely ended up with a lot of people we could have done without. We got all kinds of profiles—some turned against us, groups were formed, and of course, each had its self-proclaimed “leader.” And… you’d have to see their attitude and face to believe it. 😏 It felt just like being back in school, dealing with the troublemakers in the back of the classroom. Part 2: We want to build our own community around our products. This time, we will personally choose who gets in! We’ll filter applicants like a nightclub bouncer. Up to 10 selected members max! We genuinely hope to pick the best of the best—the most motivated, the real enthusiasts, and ideally, people who are both mentally and physically sound. 🦾 No need to list the required skills—if you get what we mean, you already know. We can already anticipate some comments like: “They just want free developers to finish their product.” Well, no, not at all! That’s not what we’re looking for—because the product is already here. We want to go further—that’s our goal! (And honestly, this whole experience has reignited our motivation—maybe we needed that in the end!) We will provide each selected developer with: •A UnlockSwitch PBS Kit, which includes the UnlockSwitch and its programmer •The Xtractor •The new UnlockSwitch Dev Kit Both UnlockSwitch and Xtractor will come pre-flashed with their firmware, including our custom programming interface. We’ll also share all our resources with the selected members. (FYI: We’re not announcing the final name just yet.) Part 3: Our DMs will be open in case some developers prefer private communication. (Right now, DMs are closed.) We’ll announce via a simple tweet when they’re open. We will carefully review all profiles—time-wasters and troublemakers will be blocked. We’ve already lost enough time. To be fully transparent from the start: we’re still fine-tuning the PCB design for our Dev Kit. Selected members will be notified individually once it’s ready. Part 4: We’re still deciding on the best communication channel and will update you soon. For now, just a heads-up: our team does NOT have an official Discord. There are accounts out there using our old logo and name (identity theft, basically). 😉 They’re probably just out of ideas and trying to ride the wave. They have absolutely nothing to do with us. As for the former beta testers we filtered out—the only way to reach us is via X. Regarding the question of whether our solutions will be open source, the answer is, of course, yes!
