Nahuatzen, Michoacán — An intensive multi-agency security operation was launched in the region after an armed attack was reported near the community of Mojonera, in the municipality of Nahuatzen, resulting in the seizure of weapons and illegally obtained vehicles. The state’s Secretary of Public Security, José Antonio Cruz Medina, reported that the immediate response actions were carried out by personnel from the Civil Guard in close coordination with members of the National Defense Secretariat. Authorities were able to locate and seize two pickup trucks allegedly used by the attackers, as well as a significant quantity of firearms and ammunition of various calibers. All physical evidence and the vehicles were secured and turned over to the appropriate prosecutorial authorities so they can be included in the corresponding criminal investigation and undergo the required forensic examinations.
