To every Guardian at Bungie, Long before we ever picked up a controller, something extraordinary was already in motion. Like The Traveler Wakes from an ancient sleep, you stirred something in millions of people β€” a sense that the universe you were building was real, alive, and waiting for us. We answered that call, and we never looked back. What you created was not simply a game. It was a place where we were Born of Light β€” where ordinary people became Guardians, heroes of their own stories, bound together by something they couldn't always name but always felt. You gave us an Endless Frontier: worlds that rewarded curiosity, lore that rewarded patience, and a universe deep enough that no two Guardians ever experienced it in exactly the same way. Through every expansion, every season, every midnight launch β€” you Rallied the Guardians. You called us back, again and again, with new wonders, new mysteries, new reasons to fight. And when the story demanded it, you gave us something rarer still: you made us feel. Moments like A Flame That Does Not Die β€” scenes of sacrifice, of loss, of characters we loved choosing the hardest thing β€” reminded us that great games, like great stories, tell us the truth about being human. We know the work was not always easy. There were years of going Into the Dark Between Stars β€” hard seasons, uncertain roads, moments when the path forward wasn't clear. You carried that weight quietly, and you kept building. The worlds you created show the marks of that labor: every detail placed with care, every piece of music composed with intention, every corner of the lore written as if it mattered. Because to you, it did. To the artists, the engineers, the writers, the composers, the designers, the QA testers, the community managers β€” to everyone who gave years of their life to this universe β€” know that you are We Who Remain in the hearts of every Guardian who ever ran a raid, discovered a secret, or sat in a social space and simply felt at home. You built something that will not be forgotten. The City Remembers. Every tower we stood on, every last city we defended, every ghost that spoke our name β€” all of it lives on, permanent and real, in the memories of the people who were there. And now, as the final chapter closes, we want you to know: you did not lose. Last Stand at the Edge of Everything is not a defeat β€” it is the mark of a story told completely, a universe explored to its fullest, a saga that had the courage to end. That takes more strength than continuing forever. After everything β€” the battles, the losses, the long years of craft and dedication β€” Light Returns. It always does. Because what you made is the kind of thing that stays with people. Parents who played at launch will tell their children about the Traveler. Friends who met through a fireteam will grow old together. Guardians who found belonging here, in your universe, when they could not find it anywhere else β€” they carry that with them for life. What you built was not a game that will one day be forgotten. What you built was Eternal. So from every Guardian who ever logged in at midnight, who ever stood speechless at a vista, who ever stayed up too late chasing one more run β€” thank you. We Were Always the Light, and so were you. @Destiny2Team @A_dmg04 @Cozmo23 Hope this tribute blesses your hearts and God speed for your journey. With gratitude, from every Guardian you ever made, The Community bit.ly/4e5i2Mm #wewantdestiny3 #destiny #savedestiny #bungie #destiny2

A tribute is in order.
71 pages of patch notes. 17k words. ...and we're still hunting down stragglers. This is a big patch. Our teams have worked tirelessly to hit the highest priority/impacting bugs before launch, but there may be a few rough edges. We hope you find Monument of Triumph to be packed to the brim with fun. If you encounter any issues on launch day or beyond, never hesitate to send us the info.
