I completely missed this because I haven't been paying much attention lately, but even with the show on pause since 2022, User Defenders® recently surpassed 1M unique downloads. Thank you for helping make that happen! 🙏 Jason 📷 #ux#uxpodcast
“You can teach people how to use new tools. You can’t teach people to be nice people. It’s really, really difficult.”
— @andybudd on the @UserDefenders podcast, on hiring and building a UX team

The podcast is not back :(, but I just released to the #UX community a Heuristic Evaluation Template that will greatly assist in the process of capturing, organizing, measuring, and presenting your findings. Tell a friend! #uidocs.google.com/spreadsheets…
ADDENDUM: I was mistaken, @bluehost didn't lock me out of my account/files 1hr before expiration, they did it on the same day it was set to expire. They didn't send me the expiration email until late that evening.
Jerks!
I recommend avoiding doing business with @bluehost. My account expired only an hour ago, I never got that last chance to backup MY files. Now they refuse to give me MY files unless I renew my account first.

In this @userdefenders episode, @pekpongpaet says when you're a UX designer, you're mainly serving the users, the engineers who implement the designs, the project managers, etc.
When you become a UX leader or manager, you're now serving others as well.

As I explain in this @userdefenders podcast, 9 out of 10 UX professionals will tell you they got their job because someone connected them to someone else. Not because they entered the résumé lottery.

Just found out about the @UserDefenders podcast (hopefully that's their Twitter Handle), and this episode I decided to listen was the right one for me at this exact moment (trying to get into UX). Thank you Jason and Jessica for the amazing discussion.

If I could redact one thing from my last episode (080), it'd be the part about only one project needed in your portfolio. I've been looking for (and found) a new opportunity and EVERYONE I talked to wanted to see more than one project.
I stand corrected.
